Mitra for St. Paul City Council- Ward 4

I’m a former classroom teacher, community organizer, public safety and immigration policy aide, and I’m now proudly serving our city as your Ward 4 City Councilwoman.

When I won our 2018 special election, I became the Council's only renter voice in a city where over half of residents are renting; its only out LGBTQ elected official; cemented the first elected women-majority Council in city history; and immediately got to work.

I'm running for my first full term to keep organizing for progress that brings everyone with it.
